A history of Trans Day of Remembrance and a retelling of the Lucy Meadows story, an Accrington teacher who was hounded by the press until she completed suicide in 2013.

Be aware that this contains triggers.

This is Transsexual Info, a one stop shop for everything Trans.

There will be over 700 documents, including around fifty written by me because there either isn't anything available, what's available is too disparate, or what's available is just plain wrong to the point sometimes of being lethal.

The links page will have over 100 references to other websites.

About Chrysalis.

01.08.19

Chrysalis Transsexual Support Groups are an unfunded community organisation currently in six locations across the North of England which give transsexuals and other gender variant people a place where they can feel safe with people they can trust, discuss any issues, and give and receive encouragement. We also run an award winning third party hate crime reporting service.

Nationally, Chrysalis provide advice, support, and advocacy to pre-transition, post-transition, and any-op transsexuals, Intersex, bi-gender, genderqueer, gender fluid, agender, and non-binary people, and their friends, family and supporters. We work closely with anyone that requires support, accompanying them to NHS appointments, employment tribunals, visiting prisons and designated accommodation, etc. We are also a referral organisation for trans children and adolescents from Children's Services, Social Services, schools, other organisations, individuals, &c.

We give free presentations and workshops, anywhere in England and Wales, on Trans Awareness, trans endocrinology, gender surgery, etc. to colleges, schools, surgeries, hospitals, councils, prisons, and businesses. We are active in promoting trans issues to the wider public, and liaising with, and actively engage with, other organisations such as the NHS, Police, CPS, Mind, Government, et al.

There is still a lack of awareness and support in the United Kingdom so Chrysalis is crucial to the enrichment of many people's lives, and the difference between the high suicide rate and no suicide is support. In the years since I started Chrysalis we haven’t had one suicide, a statistic I’m particularly proud of.
